The powerful but arrogant god Thor is cast out of Asgard to live amongst humans in Midgard (Earth), where he soon becomes one of their finest defenders.
 
What the critics said: A dazzling blockbuster that tempers its sweeping scope with wit, humor, and human drama, Thor is mighty Marvel entertainment.

What I said: A Very Good Stand-Alone movie that will be judged harshly by how it compares to the others.

Here is a movie that gets a lot negative feed back from the fan base for reasons that I do not truly understand.  I always felt that the movie was missing something, like a word that is on the tip of your tongue, but you cannot remember. 
As for the metrics they all score between 18 and 21 (with the exception of my personal ranking) so its placement is not far out of line with where most people put the movie.
