When Wolverine is summoned to Japan by an old acquaintance, he is embroiled in a conflict that forces him to confront his own demons.
What the critics said: Although its final act succumbs to the usual cartoonish antics, The Wolverine is one superhero movie that manages to stay true to the comics while keeping casual viewers entertained.
What I said: This Movie grows on you.
The scoring of this movie within the rankings is all over the board, it's world wide audience and financials place it in the top 5, its domestic audience barely make 20th, box office 10th, critics either loved or hated the movie, and so on and so forth. Without my like for this film it would end up in the 19 to 22 range.
Many of the complaints from the fan base are actually address in the extended version as it really helps fill in the story but adds a childish fight with a snowblower.
