Edit: I originally posted this a half-hour ago, I never suspected that a single post on such wild speculation would be one of my top viewed posts, in 30 minutes, let alone ever.   I want to be clear this is entirely speculation on my part. 

You know when you think about something an a light bulb goes on and it seems like such a great idea you wonder why someone else has never thought of it.



Negasonic Teenage Warhead

The announcement that Brianna Hildebrand has been cast as a minor mutant named Negasonic Teenage Warhead seems a little off.  
I should note that the original story in the Hollywood Reporter states it source as a twitter feed, however in following the twitter posting it takes you back tot he Hollywood Reporter as it source.   No where in the sources does it confirm that Brianna is playing Negasonic Teenage Warhead.

The character is a telepath trained by Emma Frost in the comics and without pulling every comic out of my collection to check not sure she was involved in to many physical altercations in the comics.

So why is Brianna Hildebrand going to stunt school in Canada?

The synopsis of the film talks about Project X and involves an semi-origin story.   What would a telepath from Genosha have to do with Project X, and why would she have an option for 3 additional films.   She is the type of character that seems to fit into more of the secondary characters of the X-Men proper film than a Deadpool film.

Laura Kinney - X-23

If Negasonic Teenage Warhead as a character doesn't seem to fit properly into Deadpool, what would?   Allow me to introduce you to Laura Kinney, X-23.

This is all pure speculation but I wouldn't be shocked if Negasonic Teenage Warhead is cover for the real role in the film.
