Universal's interconnected Movie Franchise

Not normally on my usual radar screen, Universal Pictures has announced the next movie in it Monster/Horror Cinematic Universe, The Wolf-Man.

Aaron Guzikowski, whose most noted work is writing Prisoners has been hired to create a origin story for The Wolf-Man.   A story of American who returns to the moors of Scotland and is bitten by a transformed lycanthrope, aka Werewolf, during a full-moon.

The reboot of the Mummy is set for May 2016.   Directed by Alex Kurtzman, the story has a US Navy SEAL investigating a mysterious crypt in modern Iraq.

With the success of the interconnected cinematic universes in a variety of genres Universal with rights to Dracula, The Mummy, and The Werewolf has decided to interconnect the movies into single Universe, cough Being Human, cough BBC, cough...
