New Mutants - An Update

Collider has provided us with an update to Josh Boone's X-Men movie: New Mutants.

In the update which looked at Josh Boone's instantgram account a series of images suggest the characters in the movie.
 
 
Wolfsbane will be played by Maise Williams, most known for playing Arya Stark on HBO's Game of Thrones TV Series.
 
Anya Taylor-Joy is rumored for the part of Magik, she is best known for playing Cassandra in the TV Series Atlantis and the lead roll of Thomasin in The Witch.
 
Rumors suggest that either Alexandra Shipp or Halle Berry could play Storm.
 
Sunspot was previously portrayed by Adan Canto in X-Men: Days of Future Past.
 
Josh Boone Announced that he has turned in a second draft of the script to 20th Century Fox and is now waiting to hear back on what changes they would like to see.   Josh Boone is a busy man in Hollywood as he is currently working on two additional projects, The Stand and Lisey's Story.
 
The X-Men have a messed up timeline to begin with and there has been no statement that I am aware of where this film fits into anything in the X-Men timeline.  Nor has there been anything official released about a potential release date.

X-Men: Apocalypse - News

Twentieth Century Fox has confirmed, FINALLY, that Bryan Singer will direct the forthcoming X-Men: Apocalypse movie set for release May 27, 2016.

Last month Michael Egan voluntarily withdrew his lawsuit against Bryan Singer in a Hawaiian Federal Court Room.   By withdrawing the case voluntarily Michael Egan still has the opportunity to refile the case at a future date, however I am not sure how the Hawaiian Statute of Limitations works in such case as he filed the original case shortly before the deadline to file such cases.   With that out of the way and Bryan Singer mostly vindicated in the case many believed it was just a matter of time before the announcement occurred.

X-men: Apocalypse is being scripted by Simon Kinberg from a story written by Singer, Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris.  Bryan Singer, Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg and Hutch Parker are producing the film. Production is scheduled to begin filming early next year at Mel's Cité du Cinema in Montreal.

James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystic), Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Evan Peters (Quicksilver) and Channing Tatum (Gambit) have all be confirmed.   In addition younger versions of Jean Grey, Storm and Cyclops will be cast.

James McAvoy has let on that he will be going bald in the movie.

The elder cast including Sir Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Sir Ian McKellan (Magento), Halle Berry (Storm), Famka Jannsen (Jean Grey), James Marsden (Cyclops), Ellen Page (Kitty) amongst others have all indicated a interest in appearing.   Simon Kinberg responded to questions concerning their involvement with "If some of those characters were in the movie we would, but we'll see."

Please note as discussed in a much earlier topic there is already a planed Fox Marvel film for July 13th, 2018 sill have a hunch the Original Cast will return for that date.  I also wouldn't be shocked to see an X-Men film back into the traditional Memorial day weekend slot.
