Deadpool Casting

Firefly alumnist Morena Baccarin has signed on to star opposite Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool.   It is assumed she has been cast as the mutant Copycat, a shapeshifter who is the on again off again girlfriend of Reynolds' lead character Wade Wilson / Deadpool.  

Baccarin is current starring in a reoccurring role as Dr. Leslie Thompkins on the TV show Gotham.  The Brazilian actress has also starred in Homeland and V.

Per casting call insiders the deal is for Deadpool with studio options for three additional films.
